Classic Kiwi Burger

Ingredients

Meat Patties

360g premium beef mince

Half a red onion - diced

1 tsp. flat leaf parsley chopped

2 tsp. Dijon mustard

1 free range egg

Sea salt to taste               

Cracked pepper to taste              

 

Garnish

Classic kiwi burger buns

Iceberg lettuce

Tomatoes

Beetroot

Pickles

Aged Cheddar

 

Butter salted

Method

Method

To prepare the meat patties place ingredients into a bowl and mix until well combined. Form you mixture into 4 even sized patties

Prepare your burger garnish ahead of time by stacking all the fresh ingredients on top of each other starting with the lettuce at the bottom leaving the cheese aside.

Heat a large pan to a high heat drizzle with oil then cook the pattie until they are medium, approximately 5 minutes each side.

Whilst the patties are cooking toast the buns then butter both sides of each bun, place the aged cheddar on the bottom of each bun.

To serve build the burger with the pattie on top of the cheese, followed by the burger garnish prepared earlier. Serve while still warm.

 

Use a long skewer to hold your burger together if needed.
